Cheryl Dowling Named Winner in 2022 Sharecare Emmy Awards

October 31, 2022 – Today, Cheryl Dowling announced her recognition as a winner in the 2022 Sharecare Emmy Awards in the category of Social Storyteller for The IVF Warrior. Established by Sharecare (Nasdaq: SHCR) in association with The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter (NY NATAS), the Sharecare Awards promote and reward excellence for the best productions and programming in health and well-being.

The Social Storyteller category is for individuals, channels, and/or accounts impacting health and wellness through social media.

Actor, Daniel Durant honored Cheryl Dowling with the Sharecare Emmy Award in the Social Storyteller category for The IVF Warrior. "It's an amazing thing she did. She changed the world big time. Nowadays families are built and people have children, because of @the.ivf.warrior."

The IVF Warrior is a leading digital fertility health platform providing expert resources and support for those navigating fertility issues. Founded on the belief that everyone should have access to trusted resources and a supportive community for their journey. Their mission is to empower, educate and support anyone struggling with infertility, while raising awareness and educating others about the impact infertility has on those it affects.

Cheryl Dowling founded The IVF Warrior To connect people who want to build a family but are struggling with infertility.

Cheryl Dowling is one of 15 winners in the fourth annual Sharecare Emmy Awards across a range of categories, from chronic conditions to community health. During the month of October, each category winner will be featured on Sharecare’s LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter channels under the hashtag #SharecareAwards and alongside a range of health and well-being influencers and celebrity activists, including: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award-winning actress Rita Moreno; NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins; and CNN correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, among others.

"It's such an honor to be accepting this award today. It means not only so much to myself and The IVF Warrior platform, but to anyone who's ever experienced infertility. There's still so much work to be done, and I'm just getting started," said Cheryl Dowling, Founder and CEO of The IVF Warrior.

Cheryl also shared "Since 2018, I've actively used my social media platform to help raise awareness about infertility, pregnancy loss, and mental health issues. With 1 in 8 affected by infertility, 1 in 4 experiencing pregnancy loss, and mental health issues including PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and depression impacting these populations at a significant rate, I knew more support and awareness needed to happen. I've worked hard to change the conversation about these health issues by raising awareness year-round, sharing important social content, collaborating with doctors to spread helpful information, and to date, providing two IVF grants to those in need."

Entries were judged by the Sharecare Awards Academy of Judges – a curated team of leading healthcare and media professionals with expertise in each of the competition categories. The Sharecare Award in each category was determined after a second round of judging by the deans of the Academy of Judges and a committee of additional experts.

“In an extremely competitive fourth year, each of our finalists delivered inspiring content, productions, and programs that exemplify the commitment to education, awareness, and inspired action that the Sharecare Awards were founded to recognize,” said Donna Hill Howes, chief nursing officer and senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Sharecare. “We now take great pleasure in using our platform to showcase the best-in-class work of our winners across categories that represent the diversity of experiences shaping consumers’ health and lives today.”

The Sharecare Awards is operated through the Sharecare Foundation, a nonprofit entity that Sharecare established solely in support of this awards program, with the support of its generous sponsors and in association with NY NATAS, which fosters creativity and inspires artistic and technical excellence through the renowned Emmy® Award.
